River Cleanups

KRWP had a busy spring cleanup season this year with three cleanup floats. Thank you to the 44 paddlers who helped us clean 24 miles of Kings River. We recovered 58 tires and over a ton of trash and metal.

Congratulations to Joe Scott who won the kayak and to Tina Cone who won the second place big gear prize.

Special thanks to Clear Springs Middle School kids for their help cleaning up Trigger Gap to McMullen Farm.

Upcoming Event: Be sure to join us for the H2Ozarks Shoreline Litter Pickup on September 26th. Meet us at the Carr Lane Country Store at 10:00 AM. Bring your boat, a sack lunch, and dress for the weather.

Upcoming Grant Opportunity

KRWP is excited to announce that we have been selected to take part in a 319 grant program. We will be working under the direction of H2Ozarks to provide LID (Low Impact Development), a plan for the grounds of the Berryville Library. Work has already started and the working part of the grant should begin this October.

Special Thanks

KRWP would like to say a special thank you to Yarri Davis and Curt Richardson and all the Grateful Dad folks who were kind enough to name us as the beneficiary of their fundraiser this year. They raised 10 thousand dollars to help KRWP. This is a huge help to us as our cash portion for the 319 grant will be due soon. Thanks everyone!
